Complete guide on how to check if a smartphone is 4G LTE network enabled

4G LTE is the latest trending thing among network providers in Nigeria. Only Airtel is yet to activate its 4G network among the top 4 network providers in Nigeria.
MTN, launched her 4G LTE network last month and just few days ago GLO and Etisalat unveil theirs. In this post we will see the simple steps to follow on our smartphone be it Android ,iPhone or Blackberry to know if our device can receive the 4G LTE signal.

Android
Android Users should go to settings >> Network settings >> mobile network. It should give you a dropdown menu of mobile standards such as 2G, 3G or LTE (4G). If you don’t see 4G or LTE, then your smartphone doesn’t support the standard.

Blackberry
If you are using Blackberry, go to settings>>Network and Connection>>Mobile Network>> Network mode and you’ll see 4G&3G&2G. however, if you are using Blackberry Q5 and below, you won’t get 4G network services.

iPhone
Go to Settings > General > cellular > Enable 4G LTE.

Windows
Go to Settings > Celluar + Sim > Highest connection speed and check if LTE is part of the options.

Once you’ve selected LTE and you’ve on a 4G network, the “LTE” symbol will appear on the phone status bar replacing either “3G”, “H” or “2G” symbols.
